Las Prácticas Pre-profesionales podrán ser completadas hasta el 26 de Julio

Los estudiantes que realizan prácticas pre profesionales y no han podido terminar sus horas hasta el 28 de Junio, tienen la oportunidad de terminarlas hasta el 26 de Julio debido a que es el último viernes que podrán asistir a las instituciones educativas.
La MSc. Piedad Mejía manifiesta: “Los practicantes que asistan hasta Julio colaborarán en el período de recuperación de algunos de los estudiantes que no lograron aprobar directamente en el año lectivo”.
En el caso de los estudiantes que finalicen sus horas de prácticas antes de que sus profesores tutores finalicen el período escolar, no están obligados a continuar asistiendo.

Practitioners who would not have completed their hours until June 28th have the chance to reach them till July 26th, since it is the last Friday that practitioners can attend to high schools.
MSc. Piedad Mejía says: “Practitioners who attend in July will collaborate in the recovery period which is for students who did not pass the year directly during the current term”.
In the case that students complete their Practicum hours before tutors finish their school year, practitioners are not obligated to keep going to high schools.

La Práctica Pre-profesional se ve afectada a causa de la separación del docente coordinador a cargo de la Práctica Pre-profesional III de la IES, que en este caso le corresponde al séptimo semestre A.
Los estudiantes tienen varias dudas acerca de quién será su nuevo coordinador, puesto que la persona designada deberá encargarse del bienestar de los practicantes durante la otra mitad del semestre en el periodo Marzo 2019- Agosto 2019.
Se sabe que, como medida inmediata por causa de este inconveniente, la coordinadora de la Práctica Pre-profesional de toda la Carrera de Pedagogía los Idiomas Nacionales y Extranjeros-Inglés, se reunirá con todos los docentes coordinadores para decidir quién será el nuevo coordinador de PPIII, lo cual también es un inconveniente por que no todos los profesores cuentan con la disponibilidad de tiempo suficiente para cumplir con esta labor.

Estudiantes de cuarto semestre de la Carrera de Pedagogía de los Idiomas Nacionales y Extranjeros – Inglés no tendrán vacaciones.

Estudiantes de cuarto semestre de la Carrera de Pedagogía de los Idiomas Nacionales y Extranjeros – Inglés, se encuentran en un ambiente de incertidumbre y molestia, puesto que no tendrán sus vacaciones correspondientes a este semestre, porque en ese período de tiempo ellos deben realizar su proyecto de vinculación con la sociedad.
Ante esto el docente Luis Guañuna manifestó que no existe una respuesta favorable por parte de las instituciones con las que se tiene el convenio; ellos explicaron que por varios factores que se han suscitado no se puede iniciar vinculación con la sociedad en los sectores asignados.
Un claro ejemplo son los chicos designados a Swissotel Quito, ellos manifiestan su inconformidad ante esta situación, ya que en esta institución solo pueden asistir sábados, y debido a que aún no inician, tendrán que completar las 160 horas de vinculación con la sociedad en el período de vacaciones.

A lo largo del proceso de prácticas han sido los coordinadores de la misma quienes han designado el sector y el colegio a los estudiantes que comienzan su proceso de Práctica Pre-profesional.
Pero todo dio un giro cuando los coordinadores de prácticas de la Carrera de Pedagogía de los Idiomas Nacionales y Extranjeros-Inglés recibieron un mail por parte del Ministerio de Educación con la nómina de estudiantes con colegios ya designados.
De esta manera se crea un desconcierto por parte de los estudiantes quienes han sido designados a lugares sumamente lejanos a su zona de vivienda dificultando el arribo al cumplimiento de prácticas en el horario destinado, afirma Mercy Heredia estudiante de 6to semestre B quien fue designada a la Unidad Educativa Humboldt y reside en la localidad de Machachi.

Se espera en los próximos días tener una respuesta a estos detalles y una posible solución para aquellos estudiantes quienes se ven afectados por la distancia entre su vivienda y la unidad educativa designada para las prácticas.
All along the practicum project, coordinators from the aforementioned project used to be the ones who decided the sector and high schools where students would perform their practicum process.

Feriados impiden normal desarrollo de prácticas profesionales.
El mes de abril del presente año ha traído consigo muchos días conmemorativos que han impedido que la práctica profesional se realizara normalmente, así lo indicaron varios de los estudiantes de la carrera de Pedagogía de los Idiomas Extranjeros – Inglés.
Un ejemplo claro de esto es lo ocurrido en la Unidad Educativa Franciscana ‘”San Andrés”’, donde debieron suspender clases el 12 de Abril por el día del maestro, dijo una de las estudiantes practicantes.
De la misma manera se conoció que, en otras instituciones, como la unidad educativa ‘Amazonas’ y el colegio ‘Dillon’ no tuvieron jornadas completas por un acto conmemorativo en el que se rindió homenaje a los docentes de dichos planteles educativos.
Los estudiantes destacaron que, en Semana Santa, también se tomó como día festivo al viernes 19 de abril a nivel nacional, por lo que hubo otro viernes sin realizarse actividades normales y lo mismo ocurrirá el viernes 3 de mayo ya que es feriado nacional.
Este tipo de inconvenientes produce un poco de malestar y contratiempos en los alumnos que usualmente realizan su práctica todos los viernes del presente semestre.
Holidays prevent the normal development of Practicum.

A clear example of this, is what happened at the Franciscana ‘”San Andres’” High School where classes were suspended on April 12th because of the Teacher’s Day. Said one of the students.
Similarly, it was known that in other institutions, such as ‘Amazonas’ High School and “Dillon” High School, classes were partially suspended because of a commemorative act which paid tribute to the teachers of these educational establishments.
Students pointed out that, in Eastern, Friday April 19th, was also taken as a national holiday, so there was another Friday without regular activities and the same will happen on Friday, May 4th since it is a national holiday.
This kind of inconvenients produces some discomfort and setbacks in the students who usually perform their Practicum every Friday during the current semester.
Colegio ‘Luis Napoleón Dillón’ desarrolló con éxitos casa abierta.
El pasado jueves 25 de abril del presente año, el área de inglés del Colegio ‘Luis Napoleón Dillón’, realizó una casa abierta sobre las Regiones del Ecuador, en el auditorio del plantel, actividad que inició a las 09:00 y culminó a la 13:00, aproximadamente.
Durante la actividad, cada profesor, junto a sus estudiantes, preparó una dramatización sobre una leyenda que caracteriza a cada región.
Varios estudiantes de otras instituciones, como del Colegio ‘Gran Colombia’, ‘Eloy Alfaro’, ‘24 de Mayo’, ‘San Gabriel’, entre otras, fueron invitadas, haciéndose presentes en el acto y tuvieron la oportunidad de disfrutar de las presentaciones artísticas y culturales que presentó el área de lengua extranjera.
Debido a esta actividad, los docentes del área de inglés quienes se encontraban ocupados en dicha actividad, asignaron la tarea de impartir clases a los practicantes, que no participaron de la casa abierta referida, sino que asistieron a los cursos que tenían a su cargo.
“Luis Napoleón Dillón” high school performed an open house successfully.
Last Thursday, April 25th, The English area coordinators at “Luis Napoleón Dillón” high school, were in charge of carrying out an open house about the Ecuadorian Regions at the school auditorium, this event started at 9 o’clock and finished approximately at 1 pm.
This activity was supervised by teachers, and performed by students, who did a play about the most representative legends of each region from Ecuador.
Some students from other high schools, such as ‘Gran Colombia’, ‘Eloy Alfaro’, ‘24 de Mayo’, ‘San Gabriel’, were invited to enjoy the artistic and cultural presentations, the ones who attended, had the opportunity to witness the presentations which were coordinated by The English Area.
Due to this event, teachers who were in charge of the open house, needed to be replaced in class. Therefore, students from the Practicum program were sent to impart the aforementioned subject.

Estudiantes de prácticas pre-profesionales participaron de elección estudiantil.
Estudiantes de la carrera de Pedagogía de los Idiomas Extranjeros – Inglés, quienes realizan prácticas pre-profesionales los días viernes, acudieron a sufragar el pasado viernes 26 de Abril del presente año para elegir al nuevo Consejo de Participación Estudiantil de la carrera.
Pese a que ese día ellos no tenían la obligación de asistir a la Universidad, por las prácticas pre-profesionales que realizan, se dieron un tiempo para acercarse a la carrera para ejercer su derecho en el indicado proceso democrático.
La mayoría de las practicantes arribaron a sufragar a partir de la 13:30, considerando que ellos realizan prácticas normalmente de 07:00 a 13:00 y, a pesar de las dificultades de los estudiantes para hacerse presentes ese día, toda la actividad se realizó con normalidad.
Elections in the English Major
Students from The English Major from Universidad Central del Ecuador, who perform the practicum process on Fridays, they went to vote on Friday, April 26 of this year to elect the new student career council.

La Unidad Educativa Hipatia Cárdenas está satisfecha por la colaboración de los practicantes.
Alrededor de 12 estudiantes de cuarto semestre paralelo A y B realizan prácticas pre profesionales en el Colegio Hipatia Cárdenas las cuales son realizadas los días sábados, los practicantes se encuentran a cargo de 6 cursos respectivamente. Este proyecto tuvo efectos positivos para la institución educativa debido a que a partir de este proyecto el número de estudiantes en supletorios ha disminuido notablemente.
La información sobre la ayuda pedagógica brindada por parte de los practicantes fue difundida hacia otras instituciones educativas por lo que se prevee que habrá nuevas réplicas de este proyecto.
Msc. Luis Guañuna manifiesta que “El arduo trabajo de los practicantes abrirán nuevas puertas para la ubicación de los estudiantes practicantes en diferentes instituciones educativas”.
“Hipatia Cárdenas” institution is pleased with the collaboration of the Practicum students.
Approximately 12 students from 4th semester “A and B” are carrying out the Practicum project in “Hipatia Cárdenas” high school which takes place on Saturdays. Students are in charge of six courses. This project has had positive results in the institution; considering the notably decrease of students taking remedial exams.
Information about the pedagogical help provided by our practitioners was spread to other institutions, so it is expected to have more replicas of this project.
MSc. Luis Guañuna stated: “The practitioners’ arduous work will lead to many doors being opened for the placement of new-coming practitioners in different educational institutions”
Carrera de Inglés y Quito Turismo próximas a trabajar juntas.
La Carrera de Pedagogía de los Idiomas Nacionales y Extranjeros-Inglés y la empresa Quito Turismo están a pocos pasos de trabajar juntos con los estudiantes que realizan el programa de Vinculación con la Sociedad.
Considerando que la carrera cuenta con un mayor número de alumnos, desde hace varios semestres, la administración ha trabajado para solventar este déficit con el cual los estudiantes se tenían que enfrentar, afirma el Msc. Luis Guañuna.
Quito Turismo es una empresa que trabaja con extranjeros que vienen a la ciudad a disfrutar de sus atractivos turísticos, convirtiéndola en la mejor oportunidad para que los estudiantes, quienes realizan vinculación, puedan desarrollar el idioma extranjero de una manera natural, gracias al contacto con hablantes nativos.

The English Major and the Quito Turismo Company are a few steps away from working together with the students who carry out the program of community service.
Considering that the major has a greater number of students, for several semesters, the administration has worked to solve this deficit with which the students had to face, affirms MSc. Luis Guañuna.
Quito Turismo is a company that works with foreigners, who come to the city to enjoy its tourist attractions, turning it into the best opportunity for the students that perform their community service to develop the foreign language in a natural way, thanks to the contact with native speakers.
Vinculación con la sociedad y Swissotel Quito aún no fijan fechas para inicio del proyecto 2019-2019
Alrededor de 13 estudiantes de 4to semestre paralelo A y B han realizado sus clases demostrativas para conformar el proyecto que se desarrolla junto con el personal de Swissotel Quito, sin embargo, la principal preocupación de los estudiantes es que, hace dos meses ha iniciado el periodo académico 2019-2019 y todavía no ha entrado en vigencia el proyecto de vinculación con la sociedad para ningún estudiante, por lo que es difícil determinar cuándo cumplirán las 100 horas requeridas para la titulación de ellos.
Después de cumplir con los primeros pasos de evaluación a cada estudiante para verificar que es apto y que cumple con los requerimientos que Swissotel dispone, se espera que, en la siguiente semana se obtengan resultados de los chicos que van a participar del proyecto.
Lo que ha traído inconvenientes para que se cumpla con el calendario planteado para desarrollar practicas pre-profesionales y vinculación con la sociedad, han sido los feriados por fechas conmemorativas y, se espera, que para la tercera semana de mayo se pueda concluir con la mayoría de proyectos.

Therefore, every student who is part of this project finds it difficult to determine when they will fulfill the 100 hours which are required for their certification.
After completing the first evaluation steps, which consisted of verifying that each student is suitable and meets the requirements that Swissotel ask for, it is expected for Swissotel to provide solutions for the ones who are going to participate in the project.
The holidays for commemorative dates are what have brought inconvenients to accomplish with the proposed calendar to develop Practicum and Community Service, and it is expected to conclude with most of the projects by the third week of May.
Estudiantes de cuarto semestre aún no inician sus prácticas de Vinculación con la Sociedad.
El pasado miércoles 15 de Mayo de 2019, el MSc. Luis Guañuna, manifestó que la mayoría de estudiantes de cuarto semestre, aún no empiezan las prácticas de Vinculación con la sociedad, debido a varios factores y problemas que se dieron a principios del mes de mayo con la institución que presta disponibilidad para realizar dichas prácticas.
Frente a esa situación varios estudiantes manifiestan su inconformidad con lo acontecido y esperan que la Fundación “Children International” de una respuesta favorable a ellos y se les ubique en varios sectores lo más pronto posible, para completar las horas demandadas por la carrera.
Ante esto, el docente encargado, manifestó que, al comunicarse con la institución, ellos pretenden ubicar a los alumnos entre días de la semana, ya que los sábados están saturados de estudiantes.
Por lo pronto, como supo manifestar el docente Luis Guañuna, se espera que la siguiente semana los estudiantes puedan asistir a la fundación y realicen sus prácticas normalmente. Agregó que el profesor MSc. Ivan Chasiluisa se encuentra gestionando el proyecto para que se agilite lo más rápido posible.
Students from the fourth semester have not started their community service yet.
On Wednesday, May 15th, 2019, Msc Luis Guañuna said that a lot of students from the fourth semester have not started their community service, because of several problems at the beginning of the month with educational institutions where the students perform the aforementioned project.
Many students have expressed their disagreement with the incident and expect the “Children International” Non Governmental Organization (NGO) to give a favorable reply in order to situate them in the determinate places as soon as possible. The main idea is to complete all the hours requested by the major.
Given the situation, the in-charge professor said that NGO tries to place the students during weekdays because Saturdays are crowded with other students.
Accordingly, MSc. Luis Guañuna has announced that he expects students to be able to attend to the NGO and perform their community service normally, he also added that the MSc. Ivan Chasiluisa is managing the Project with the idea of accelerating it as soon as possible.
